About Us
Warrick Humane Society was incorporated in 1983 and opened its no-kill shelter on Vann Road in 1997.  Our mission is to end the animal overpopulation crisis in the community, to find homes for homeless and neglected animals and to provide educational programs and community services for the mutual benefit of animals and people.

To assist in funding our mission, WHS opened the Home Away Pet Spa in late 2005 next to the pet adoption center.  Home Away Pet Spa donates all of its profits to run our homeless animal shelter.

Warrick Humane Society is a 501 (c) 3 not-for-profit charitable organization.  All donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.

What We Do

We help stop the killing of hundreds of unwanted pets in our area each year.  We place as many animals from our facility into loving forever homes.  No healthy, adoptable animal will be killed while in our care.

Warrick Humane Society rescues hundreds of puppies, kittens, cats, and dogs a year that our brought to us by residents of the tri-state who an no longer care for their pets.  That is why our shelter is vital to hundreds of animals that depend on us for their lives.

How We Do It

Our ongoing fundraising helps to meet our animals' needs with the best possible vet care and nutrition.  Most of all, due to the effords of our many volunteers, these dogs and cats receive lots of love and affection until they are adopted.

How You Can Help

We need YOUR continued dedication and financial support.  Since we are not funded by the city or state, we rely solely on private donations to keep our shelter doors open.  We desperately need your help to save these abandoned, abused, and unwanted animals.  All donations are 100% tax-deductible.
