Summer can be dangerous for our furry friends, and knowing how to recognize and respond to heat-related emergencies can save lives.
During this orientation, we'll discuss:
- Signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke
- What to do if a dog or cat is experiencing a heat-related emergency
- Safe activities, walks, enrichment ideas, and exercise during hot weather
- Tips for keeping foster pets and your own pets healthy, happy, and cool all summer long
Whether you're considering becoming a foster or you've fostered dozens of animals, everyone is welcome! This is a great opportunity to learn valuable information, ask questions, and connect with fellow animal lovers.
