You've opened your home and given a foster pet a safe place to land. Now comes the next step: helping them find their forever family!

Join us for our next Warrick Humane Society Foster Orientation, where we'll talk about all the ways foster families can help their foster pets stand out and get noticed by potential adopters.

We'll cover:

Taking Great Photos & Videos

  • Learn what kinds of photos and videos help show off your foster's personality, what moments are worth capturing, and where to send your photos and videos to WHS.
Posting Your Foster Online
  • We'll go over ways to share your foster pet on social media and help get their story in front of more potential adopters.
Creating a Great Bio
  • You know your foster better than anyone at the shelter. We'll talk about how to turn all those little things you've learned about them into a bio that helps potential adopters understand who they really are.
Teaching Skills for Their New Home
  • From basic manners to everyday household skills, we'll discuss things you can work on with your foster that can help make their eventual transition into a forever home smoother.

Your foster's time with you isn't just about giving them a place to stay.

You're helping them become adoption-ready.

The things you discover about their personality, the skills you teach them, and the pictures and stories you share can all help their future family see the amazing pet waiting for them.

Whether you're a brand-new foster or you've been fostering for years, come learn some practical ways to become your foster's best advocate and help move them one step closer to their happily ever after.

Show them off.
Tell their story.
Help them find home.
