Winter is coming, and our pets need a little extra preparation for the colder months!
Join us for our next Warrick Humane Society Foster Orientation, where we'll be talking all about winter safety, cold-weather care, and fun ways to keep pets happy and active when temperatures drop.

We'll cover important topics including:

Cold-Weather Issues & Injuries

  • Learn about the risks of cold exposure, including frostbite and freezer burn, and what to watch for when temperatures drop.

How Cold Is Too Cold?
  • How do you know when it's too chilly for a walk, outdoor playtime, or potty break? We'll discuss temperature considerations and how different pets may handle the cold.

Ways to Keep Pets Warm
  • We'll share practical ways to help pets stay comfortable and cozy during cold weather, both indoors and outside.

Fun Winter Activities
  • Cold weather doesn't have to mean boring weather! We'll talk about fun ways to keep pets active, entertained, and mentally stimulated when winter puts a damper on outdoor adventures.

Winter can bring some unique challenges for our four-legged friends, but a little preparation can go a long way toward keeping them safe, warm, happy, and healthy.

Whether you're a current foster, interested in becoming a foster, or simply want to learn more about caring for pets during the winter months, we'd love to have you join us!
